Our lovely little holiday let is only a 30 second walk from the idyllic Buxworth Canal basin – perfect for a little stroll!

Let's start - outside....

To the front of our little holiday cottage is a small gravelled seating area.  Perfect place to sit with your brew in a morning or a beer on a summers evening….. or you can walk a minute down the road to the canal basin where you will also find the Navigation Inn.  Lovely – just lovely!

Then inside to the lounge

On entering you find the lounge area which is set out for your relaxation.  Comfy seating for 4, Television, DVD player, dining table, and best of all – the open fireplace! We will make sure you have logs, coal and fire lighters ready for a cosy night in.

True heart of any home

Through from the lounge area you enter into the kitchen.  We think we have pretty much everything you can possibly need for your stay away.  Complete with microwave, kettle, toaster, oven, grill, fridge/freezer, washing machine, pots & pans, plates, knives, forks and even spoons.

To the rear of the property is also a small outhouse with a freezer for if you need that bit more space.

Up again...

Up on the top floor you will find another bedroom complete with twin beds.  We fitted a small TV to keep the kids quiet while you have some grown up time downstairs.

My favourite part of this room has to be the double aspect windows – loads of light and lovely views over the river to the back.

Lovely comfortable cottage located in a beautiful area with great walks and scenery on the doorstep, the owner Kathryn made sure we had everything we needed to make our stay in the Peak District perfect!

Perfect cottage for us, even in winter it was cozy and warm a true delight, lovely new bathroom – extremely smart. Many thanks to Kathryn, who was extremely helpful and informative.

We used this delightful cottage as a base for a family celebration – and it did the job perfectly. Warm welcome, cheerful host, comfortable accommodation, well appointed, lovely setting, easy parking, etc etc.

The bathroom - or should we call it a bubble-bathroom?

We refitted the bathroom last year and as so many of our guests loved the jacuzzi bath – we just had to put a new one in!

We’ve thrown in all the usual toiletries to save you packing time.

Out back

From the kitchen we have a stable door leading out to a shared courtyard.  You can find another small bench and our little out house complete with allsorts – another little freezer, the bins, and even space for your bicycles if you want to bring them….

A lovely little cottage with everything we needed for the week and a half we stayed there. Very clean, quiet and just up the road from a good pub, serving pretty tasty food. But the best part is that the cottage is a stones throw from a wonderful canal area of barges, house boats and tow paths. There is also a big Tesco supermarket a shortish walk away, along the tow path.
